Environmental Citizenship projects are taking place around the city, working with existing youth groups.

Young people have planned, develped and run their own projects, supported by Sheffield Wildlife Trust's Youth Participation Officer, Shelly Burrell.

Projects so far...

In Westfield young people from the John Barnett Youth Centre designed and created a memorial garden. This included making a bench with a local artist, creating a footpath using crushed brick and planting flower beds.

Broomhall Youth Forum contributed towards Broomhall's entry for Sheffield in Bloom. Young people took part in litter picking, flower planting, making bird boxes, and designing and painting a mural at Lynwood Gardens.

Young people in Arbourthorne organised a fishing competition and set up a fishing scheme. This allowed young people from the area to get fishing licences, and borrow fishing equipment.
