Sheffield Wildlife Trust
is offering a variety of volunteer opportunities that will enable 16 - 19 year olds to gain valuable experience and knowledge on environmental based projects... more

Recent projects have included work with pupils from Bents Green School in Sheffield to create a ‘secret garden’ within the school grounds. The young people helped to design and plan the project from the beginning, participating in the practical works to the garden as well as learning about things such as composting, recycling and plant management.

Volunteers would be involved on a part time basis for several hours per week over a few weeks, with the option to do longer sessions at weekends or in school or college holidays. You don’t need any previous experience to take part in the project.
Travel and refreshment costs will be covered and any tools and equipment such as boots or gloves will be provided.
